June 2011, we went on a longer trip to Genting/KL with Chelsea. The 2 dogs went boarding at Animal Resort again.

On the way back home, CanCan and Hero are so happy to see us! :)

This blog was started because of CanCan, my first dog. Time files, she has been with us for 4 years and had shifted house with us, been through the arrival of our first baby Chelsea. Cancan is 5 now and ageing gracefully.

Her muzzle is turning white by day but she is still as playful and active as before.

Darling Chelsea is turning 2! Time files! 2 more days to her actual birthday. We decided to have a simpler birthday celebrations this year. We have a mini celebrations at the childcare centre this year.

At last, the day ended. Chelsea got a little present from her teachers at the CC! :)

Darling CanCan turned 5 on the 17th March. We had a little birthday celebration for her. Got the birthday cake from US dog bakery while shopping at NEX. CanCan is a happy girl! This is her 2nd year celebrating her birthday with Chelsea! See how much CanCan loves Chelsea! :)

Been a long time since I update my blog. Reasons due to:

-I am too busy to do so.

-I have no idea what to write.

-Perhaps too lazy to write.

-A lot of updates have been done on my Facebook with pictures.

-It's so convenient to access Facebook with an iPhone.

Are you missing us in action??? :P

Just a few updates here:

1) My little baby is a toddler now. She is 21 months now,turning 2 this April~! How time files... I can still remember the dun-know-cry-for-what baby till now a dun-know-whine-for-what toddler! She is entering her terrible twos!!!

2) My chilli padi CanCan is ageing. Her muzzle is turning white,probably due to stress of our new addition and moving house,but she is always such a sweet darling to Chelsea.

3) Last but not least my sweet mongrel Hero who never fails to brighten your day with his wagging tail.

I am proud to say we are a happy family of 5! :) Stay tuned for more updates about us!

It's a Friday after marking exercise in school. I decided to fetch Chelsea back from the childcare earlier than usual. Knowing that she might be cranky during the car ride, I gave her a biscuit to eat on the way back home.

Back at the carpark, she made a big mess in her car seat hence I decided to clean up the mess. I put Chelsea at the driver seat and gave her some toys to keep her occupied. As I was clearing her mess,she locked the central lock of the car. As I finished my last bit of clearing, she closed the door and locked herself in the car. My car keys was in the car. I was scared, panicked. I approached a passer-by for help. He helped me called the neccessary people,locksmith, AA, all he can do... Darling Chelsea locked in the car thought I was playing with her,she seems to be having fun at my driver's seat. I called hubby to ask him to go and get my spare key at home (silly me put the car keys and house keys together!) Hubby says he will try and rush down in the midst of the crazy jam everywhere.

My mind was all about Chelsea,will she suffocate? Will she be warm inside? (The engine was off. car keys at back seat.) I wish I could simply broke the window. I tried communicating with her asking her to unlock the central lock for me but she could not understand what I was talking about,too young to understand anyway. 2 other guys came over, one of them drove a lorry and he had the tools. I asked to force open the car door, heck care the pain,the rubber and the car body! I just want enough ventilation for Chelsea.

Time pass.... Chelsea began to feel that something was wrong. She was perspiring and crying out loud. I could not do much. The 2 helpful guys helped me reach for the car lock but in vain. They tried all means and ways. I was really touched by their gestures, they do not know me, neither nor they know each other but they worked hand in hand to help me.

Finally, hubby came with the spare key. I unlocked the car and carried Chelsea out. I panicked and broke down into tears. Too happy! Relieved! I knew I am going to spend a bomb to fix the paint and car but it does not matters to me anymore as long as Chelsea is safe!

I told myself not to be so careless next time! I just hope Chelsea will not have phobia of my pica since she had a bad experience inside there. Whatever it is, the safety of the passengers is upmost important.

We are going down to the workshop tomorrow for the mechanics to quote to fix the damage. Let's hope it's not going to be very costly. Less shopping for the month of November or rather I should say less good food.

Sighz! What an eventful Friday evening!

(Whatever happen has passed and not a single word should be breath to the grandparents, or they will ban me from driving Chelsea around! :()

The long awaited moment is here!!! Chelsea is FINALLY walking without support. At 1 year 3 months 1 week 5 days OR 15 months 1 week 5 days, she surprised me by walking unsupported.

Juggling with never ending work, a demanding toddler and 2 dogs (with 1 demanding dog) is no joke. But being able to withness all her milestones is really satisfying. From her first flip, to the time she can sit unsupported, then to crawling and walking... Each milestone is so precious and memorable! Nothing beats that satisfaction of seeing your little one grow and blossom.

" Always remember that your child will only have ONE childhood, once you missed it, you will never find it back!"

With that every milestone I went through with her, I remember how my mum also went through every milestone with me when I was a little one! My mummy could remember when we started walking, and every little thing. It simply make me appreciate her more! Now a proud granny of a naughty toddler, she is happier senior citizen when Chelsea's little actions make her laugh and nevertheless beam with pride. :)

The job is draining me out and sucking all my inspiration to write away. My life is left with Chelsea, CanCan and Hero (and not forgetting family.)

My 13 month old Chelsea has developed many milestones so far..

- She can finally drink from straw.
-She is walking with one hand support (But according to infant care teachers,she had walked 3 steps.)
-She imitates what you do and say at times.
-She expresses her wants and dun wants clearly, dun want by turning head away and sulk.
-She can associate "gou gou" with the dogs at home. (Wahahahha...)
-She can call out mama and papa more clearly now.

Wooohoo.. MOre milestones to come. Hope mummy will make up with you for the lost time during school term time.

Time really files! Chelsea turns 13 months today! Wow... It will be not too long when I am going to withness her first steps and soon I will be chasing after her!

Happy 13th month Chelsea! This month mummy got nothing for you coz I am busy with marking and more marking. Mummy will make up for Chelsea during the holidays k? heee. :)

She gets along well with my dogs esp with CanCan. She adores CanCan and CanCan loves her too! Look how they watch out for one another! :)

Happy 11th month Chelsea!

It was just like yesterday that I gave birth to Chelsea and now she is almost ready to welcome her 1 year old. Chelsea turns 11 months (officially today and weighs 8.6kg- steady weight gain.) She has grown so fast through the months.

She can now stand WITHOUT support for a few seconds.

She is able to pick up food with her finger and stuff it into her mouth (quite) accurately.

She is talking more now with more words and vocab coming from her mouth.

She is MORE independent now as she can fall asleep on her own by hugging/touching her pillows and tigger toy.

She recognizes people who are familiar to her and shows excitement when she sees them.

We are looking forward to see more of her milestones and in time to come, we will be chasing after her!

CanCan is a good girl now. I would like to thank Sunny Chong for his patience and commitment in training her. CanCan is 4 years old Jack Russel Terrier, she was an alpha dog. She thinks she owns the house and does not listen to any commands. Bringing her to walks was a pain as she loves to tug the leash, she barks at dogs and some people that walk past her.

After 3 sessions with Sunny Chong, CanCan understands sit and down command, she can walk in heel position without pulling the leash. She is a calmer dog now and does not bark at dogs that walk pass her. She can even share the same lift as other people without barking at them. She is still undergoing training with Sunny and hope in the days to come, she will be a better dog.

Good owners have good control of their dog, we walk the dogs and not the dogs walk us. A calm and well trained dog blends in with the community. After the training sessions and having seen CanCan a transformed dog, I am certain that all dogs regardless of age, size and breed can be trained if the owner is willing to.

This is not an advertisement for the trainer but rather a chance for me to share my experience with those with problems with their dogs. :)

This cheeky girl of mine is 10 months old! Wow! How time files and we are coming to the end of the Ox year... 1 more week and we are going to welcome Tigger year! :)

She is getting more active and loves doing stunts that "frighten" me at times... Like this.

She can stand with support... pretty stable now.

The walker is her favourite now.. :)

She has 4 teeth now-2 lower and 2 upper teeth. :)

She can stand with support and walk holding on to furniture.

She waves bye bye when you say bye bye to her.

I almost lose him last night....

Here's wat really happen:

The 2 dogs,baby,hubby and me went for a walk juz now. Knowing well that my 2 dogs not exactly very friendly with other dogs,I warned hubby when I saw 2 dogs off leash walking about. I told him to pull the dogs to another side. Who knows? TOO LATE... Hero saw one of the off leash dog,got excited broke loose of the leash and ran after the dog.

The owner of the 2 dogs scolded my hubby straight on the face "If u cannot control yr dog, dun bring them out." We did not expect the leash to break too and our dogs are always LEASHED AT ALL TIMES. Hero did came back eventually coz of CanCan. (upon seeing CanCan.)The owner came to me and gave me a scolding. She told me to muzzle Hero the next time we come out coz we are a threat to the dogs in the neighbourhood. She told me again straight in the face,dun keep 2 dogs if you cannot handle them....

This sounds like an alarm to me. It hurts me HELL A LOT, juz like pple telling u that you are a bad parent. I admit they are no good dogs, they are under-socialised hence that behavoir. I think I should give up one of them. :( (or both of them??)I am a bad owner.

I did not socialise them properly and teach them the right way to make friends with other dogs. I am a bad owner.

Hero came back with an injuried claw, his fingernails almost came off..... It hurts him as he was screaming when I tried to touch his claw.

Hero had been a sweet boy so far..... He is duper good with people and simply adores them...

He loves Chelsea too... and treat her with respect.

And Chelsea adores him too....

SO WHAT IS THE DAMN PROBLEM NOW???!!!!

JUST COZ MY DAMN DOG RAN AFTER YOUR DAMN DOG DOES NOT MEAN HE IS A DOG THAT NEEDS TO BE MUZZLED. HE IS NOT A PUBLIC THREAT.

What has happened was a pure accident. No one has expected(and had wanted it) that to happen. On my part, I had pre empt my hubby to walk the dogs elsewhere when I saw the 2 off leash dogs approaching. Some dog owners are simply too narrow minded, if you cannot afford such accidents, please leash your dogs.

NOT HAPPY WITH ME? COME BOMBAR ME.

Over the week, Chelsea had a walk back to the old neighbourhood.... First time on the MRT to Woodlands... Then to Plaza sg to meet up with mummy's friends.

The stool! She actually used that as a "walker" to help her move...

Now my life is about her,revolves around, shop for her, cook for her, bath for her, feed her..... It's the school holidays and I am happy to have this chance to see her growing each day.

At 8 months:

-She can sit unsupported now!

-She got 2 tooth!

-She is learning how to stand and progressing well each day! She is practising that everyday in her playpen.

- She LOVES TV... (worrisome...)

-She is taking her solids well, now on 2 to 3 solid meals each day. :)

-She can say "pa" and "kea"(it sounds like "fake" in teochew...duno how to spell it!:P)

-She is curious about everything happening around her!

NOW.............The authenticity of the Coach bags I post earlier is being doubted.... Overlooking the steps to verify the authenticity of the bags and attracted by cheap stuffs. True enough, according to this reader, I could not find the bags I had posted on Coach official website and had been advised to purchase DIRECT from Coach.com via her sister.

Anyone can help me verify authenticity of the bag? Or explain why the bags stated are not shown on the official website. Advise plssss.......

(OMG!!! That goes to say my Agnes b could be a fake too!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen them selling for $10 each at those push cart....)

Mummy's cooking adventure

Mummy's first attempt to cook porridge had failed.... But she tried again today! And it was a success!

Chelsea's lunch : Porridge with carrots and mashed banana.

The country apples puree is so delicious that she finished a whole jar!

It is getting more interesting as Chelsea is on solids now. We are trying out 3 meals for her with morning rice cereal, lunch and dinner porridge. Mummy will be cooking new food for her in the days to come. :) I am finally getting some joy from cooking! hahahha.... Chelsea accepting the food has motivate me to do better! :)

Happy 8th month to Chelsea! :)

Chelsea turns 8 mths today and I am so glad to be at home with her!!!! Finally my long awaited holidays when I can just "nua" at home... :) The day started with Chelsea smiling at me in her playpen, make milk for her then she fall back to sleep.

I tried cooking potato porridge for her, followed my mummy's instructions religiously but the porridge turns out not cook! Not fit for human consumption BUT my potato was cook though. :P. Not knowing that the porridge was not cooked, I put it in the blender to blend! Another blunder! I make a big mess in the kitchen! This is what happens when granny is not around to get things done. Chelsea loves the chicken with potato/carrots porridge tat granny cook! Wonder if I am able to cook something close to granny's? I will try again later for dinner! :) There is always a first time! Luckily, I got the Nestle rice cereal- Rice and chicken to stand by! Baby's instant food is so much to choose from! :P

Back on my darling's development,she has grown so much from just a newborn. She can now crawl on tummy (pretty fast speed) and occassionally lift her tummy off the ground. She "talks" more often now with more variety of sound. She chuckles and laughs when u play peek-a-bo with her. She is much more aware of the presence of my other 2 furkids. She can sit (almost) unsupported now! Wow... That's very good progress! Teochew has this saying of 7th month-sit, 8th month-crawl and 9th months-teething. Chelsea has already got 2 tooth on her lower gum! haha... Looking forward to more milestones, I think soon she will be chasing the 2 furkids around the house. She can play fetch with the Jack mistress. :P

Hero and CanCan lazing ard in their new place.... We are settling pretty well except that some people are TERRIFIED of dogs.... we get strange reactions and even screams when they see Hero! We got to walk them after 10pm. The environment here is superb for dogs but not very dog friendly as it seems. I have seen big dogs walking around though,seen Husky and a labrador living downstairs. :P

I simply love Sim Siang Choon stuffs! The system 3 inverter from Gain City was a good buy as well!

Summer the GR cross looking for a home

Meet Summer.

She was found half-starved at a playground... but even then, she was very sweet to her rescuers. She has since been nursed back to health from 3 weeks ago and the Vet has given her a clean bill of health... and her teeth are so CLEAN!

It is kinda obvious that summer contains some GR blood in her.... the facial structure is unmistakable. Her body size however is pretty small. About 18-20kgs at best.

She is very very sweet. Very tame. And seriously quite beautiful. She doesn't smell a day over a year old. In fact, she is estimated to be about 9-11 months old only. My sweetie pie is 6 months 2 weeks now! Wow! Time files.... There have been quite a number of babies popping lately! Congrats to all the new mummies! It is delighting to see new babies and somehow I do missed Chelsea when she was just a newborn. She was sooooo tiny when she was borned,barely 3kg. She is now weighing 7.4kg.

Chelsea got a new exersaucer recently! From Rent that toy! That is a more economical way of getting toys without having to worry your baby gets sick of it very fast and storing it when baby has outgrown it. :)

Next mummy is thinking of getting an activity walker when Chelsea is learning how to walk,she spotted this and thought that is duper nice too! :)

vtech activity walkerMummy got a new toy from vtech for Chelsea too! That's when she got to know that vtech toys are lovely too! To mummy, it's important to choose the right toys for our babies. I will never compromise for a cheapo china brand toy if there is a better choice elsewhere! Some china brand toys do serve the same purpose but the music is loud and not pleasing to hear. Eeeeks... So far, Fisher price,leapfrog and vtech have served us well. :)

Mummy is also very particular about choosing a good walker too. We have heard of "horror" stories about them and the dangers of using a walker. Most mummies actually prefer getting an exersaucer now! Reason being it is safer and of course MORE INTERACTIVE toys for babies to explore! I have seen many baby walkers around and I simply love this. I love this coz of an interesting toy tray.

They have lesser space to roam now... But nevertheless still happy and contented in this little nest. They are somehow used to the environment here. My baby Chelsea is grown up! She is coming 6 months and going to start her next milestone! Starting solids! Moving on to stage 2 Forumula milk! Similac has this improved formula and it is equally costly as Enfapro now! Should we switch her to another brand of FM? She is also starting on semi solids soon! We got Friscocream for now and yet bought any other rice cereal. There are so many brands out there..Nestle,Heinz... all u wan to name... What is good? What is popular among mummies? So many to choose from! I am looking forward to her 6 month mark and more milestones to come,crawl, sit up and walk....

Mummy stopped by to talk to the dog owners and exchange pointers, one of the mongrel, a black dog just like Hero (She looks exactly like Hero!) came over to say hello over the fence. And guess wat?? Chelsea chuckle and laugh when she saw the dog! One of the dogs bark at her, she was not scared at all. The owners were amazed! haha.. I am so proud of u Chelsea! :)

Our first nest is SOLD... officially today at HDB hub. We are officially homeless too. Dun ask me where am I staying now. We got into this mess all because of a newbie property agent. We spoke to the legal advisor of the company,no outcome. The mentioned agent DID NOT turn up today for completion,a man with NO BALLS....wahahhahaa..He got his colleague to turn up instead. Read on, I am sure u all love to know why I am fuming mad now.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Feedback on HSR property agent W****** H*’s oversight.

I am writing to feedback about a property agent W****** H* under your group. We engaged W****** H* to sell our flat at Woodlands Dr 16 and help us source for a resale flat at Bt Panjang. Our flat was sold on the 28th April 2009 and the option was exercised on the date. On the 6th May 2009,the option to purchase was completed when we accepted the buyer’s offer. Based on records, the resale application to HDB was submitted on the 30th May 2009,first appointment scheduled on the 17th July 2009. After the option to purchase was completed on the 6th May 2009, we should be able to start “shopping” for our next home. However, the said agent did not prompt us to go and view the units.

We found out that something was amiss in June and we asked the said agent whether we can start “shopping” for a flat but he said it was too early. Hence, we decided to source for the resale flat on our own. On the 11th June 2009, we finally found our choice unit at Senja Road through another agent and exercise the option to purchase on the 22nd June 2009. The resale application was submitted to HDB on the 26th August 2009, first appointment on the 28th August 2009.

We wish to raise our concern with regard to the long lapse period between selling and purchasing of our flat. If the said agent had advised us to go for viewing of flats earlier (like once the option to purchase was completed)),we should be able to “close” the lapse period between selling and purchasing of our flat, hence shorten the period of us being homeless and having to rent a unit from the market.

We have trusted the said agent to phase the buying and selling appointments so that the lapse period between selling and buying will be as close as possible, hence we did not question him when he did not bring us out for viewing of flats. The said agent did not mention the lapse period between selling and buying to us, neither did he ask us if we have a place to stay during the lapse period. If he had addressed to these concerns, he could propose extension of stay to our buyers or propose to let us take up a bridging loan from the bank. Being first timers in selling and buying flats in the open market, we feel “cheated” and being conned into selling our flat and leaving us homeless for a few months. We seem to have sold our flat without much knowledge.

We are utterly disappointed to realize upon searching for our new flat that it was too late then to close the lapse period. Now that our completion date for our current flat will be on the 11th September 2009 and our first appointment for our resale flat will be on 28th August 2009, hence to say, we will have a period of 1.5 to 2 months time (inclusive of doing renovation works) of being homeless. This lapse period is too long for us to accept. Because of the said agent’s oversight, we have to bear the cost of renting a unit outside while waiting for our new unit to be ready.

We are extremely disappointed with HSR, being a first choice in real estate, we had trusted your company to provide the best service for us but this has to happen. This is unacceptable to us. I hope you look into this matter as soon as possible and give us a favorable reply by this week. We will not hesitate to highlight this matter to CASE and the press if this matter is not settled promptly.

She FLIPPED!!!!!!! at 4 months 3 weeks! Woooohooo....

29/08/09: The 1st time I see her flip from lying down position! She could flip when sleeping sideways but not when lying down. :) Was very surprised to see that as I just walk away to wash bottles,came back to see her on her tummy! Wow...

It was like ALL OF A SUDDEN.... She could flip! It was when mummy was a bit worried as she heard other fellow younger babies had flipped and wondered if there is any development delay in Chelsea. ermmmm....

She continued practise how to flip when back in her playpen. Since then,she could not stop flipping. She flips when changing diaper,when lying down,after milk and almost all the time!!!! wahahahha...

Practice always make perfect! She can flip and lift her head high up for picture taking. I tell you this VAIN girl (just like mummy....hahahah...) will auto look at the camera lens. :)

She is a grown up baby now. How time files! It was like yesterday that she was borned at Mt A. My sweetie is turning 5 months in 3 days time! Her next milestone will be starting solids,now am thinking what feeding bowl and spoon to use...ermmm.. What is good? What brand cereal to feed? It's going to be a new learning phase in motherhood. More shopping loots for Chelsea too! Aiming for an Exersaucer or baby walker! woohoo... More milestones to come.... I am looking forward to her sitting without support, crawling, teething, walking..... :) She is definitely a bundle of joy, no regrets about gaining that extra 5kg and a little tummy...wahahha....

Chelsea's first day at the Infant care centre

15/7/09-

A day to remember. Chelsea's first day at an infant care centre operated by Children Network . We thought of capturing a pic at the entrance but it was raining...too bad~

7:20am:

Send Chelsea in with hubby,warm welcome by Teacher Rashidah. :)

The infant teachers brought her stuffs in and organize them in her cabby holes.

Mummy stayed at the centre with Chelsea for a while and watch how the teachers handle the kiddos.

8 plus:

Mummy left the centre to Bt Panjang Plaza for her McDonald's breakfast! Yummy hot cakes with sausages with a cup of tea.

9 plus:

Mummy went to granny's house to take her rest. The shopping malls are not opened anywayz.

11 plus:

Mummy left to go Lot 1 for some shopping. Got new teats and socks for Chelsea! Felt something missing! Am missing Chelsea already and wonder how is she doing? Is she giving the teachers a hard time? Is she missing her sarong (yao lan) at home? Decided to abort shopping plans and dash back to see my darling.

1:15pm:

Mummy reached infant care centre to bring Chelsea home. Sweetie was sleeping then. The teachers passed me her daily record booklet. Wrap Chelsea in my fave MIM sling and off we go to the bus stop to take bus home.

The bus journey was a rocky ride probably coz it was an "old" bus,Chelsea loves the ride and slept all the way in the comfy sling.

2:15pm: Reached home. Chelsea had her milk and slept in her sarong. :)

I am back to a place where I am familiar with but now with a different role. Wooooo! I will probably be looking at the teachers from another perspective. I had been there, I know how it feels.

How time files! Chelsea is 3 months old now! :) She is getting crankier each day,all her different patterns all coming out! But we still love her bits! In time to come when I am back to work,she will be going to an infant care centre! How exciting! Having being worked in the Early Childhood field for several years,now is my daughter's turn to be enrolled in an Early childhood learning centre! I become a parent now! haha... I am beginning to have seperation anxiety over her going to the infant care centre. Yes..Finally I can understand how parents feel when they have to send their kids to a childcare centre.

Oh yeah.. Long time no blog... (one week plus with no entry is loooooong to me..hee). Anyway, lots to update, had been busy looking for a care taker for Chelsea, busy with ermmm.. (I really dun know wat leh..haha) Just simply not in the mood to blog, what to write? what to post? Seriously dun know.

Chelsea had her very FIRST gathering with her May babies friends. (She was supposed to be due on 7th May but decided to see the world 5 weeks earlier!) Mummy got to know many other mummies from a forum, having chat with them for so long, they finally meet each other face to face. Mummy and Chelsea had a good time. Our dear Chelsea was sulking all the way,showing people her sour face. (Some says her sour face also very cuteee...haha) Yah.. I think mummy needs to be more patient with Chelsea at times, she is really a terror.. (Trust me!) There were 30+ mummies and babies together at a function room in the eastern side of Singapore. That was really spectancular!!!! Too bad we did not have a chance to take a full picture together! There is always a next time. :) Anyway, did not take many pics as I was busy entertaining my cranky gal there. -_-''.

Shopping with Chelsea

Going to the market to buy food is a daily routine for me and Chelsea (unless raining.). This is where we go...... Vista Point!

The place that Chelsea frequents, almost everyday!!! :)

See! She really know how to make herself comfy in her stroller! This is the best pram ever! haha Cost me $119 only from Kiddy Palace, weight ard 6kg, user friendly and a reliable partner to bring baby out. :)

Some pointers to share to help first time mummies cope with bringing baby out:

1) Feed yr baby before you go out, change diaper and make sure he/she is happy and satisfied.

2) Bring pacifier!!!! It works for Chelsea when she gets cranky outside. One big worry for mummies that baby suddenly cries out loud in public and the whole world will be looking at you. :P Breastfeeding mummies who latch babies on are discouraged from trying this as it might cause nipple confusion. :)

3) Time baby's next feed. For Chelsea, is every 3 hours on formula milk. I dun bring her barang when I go nearby shopping. Even if she poo or hungry, there is time to dash home!

4) If you are bringing your baby out for longer hours, then diapers,milk,bottles,wet wipes, diaper cream will be a must. Check that you have everything ready! It will be good that you have a little sling bag to put your wallet and handphone as it will be difficult to reach out for the bag if you are handling baby alone in a sling.

For FM fed babies, usually 3 servings of milk powder to last around 9 hours outside. For BF babies, latching on or express milk (This one I cannot advise much...hee). A sling will be a good investment for breastfeeding on the go. :) I always trust Moms in mind sling as I can take bus while slinging Chelsea!

5) Confidence! Have confidence in yourself to bring baby out! Dun get too kan chiong when baby cries out in public. It is NORMAL for babies to cry as that is the only way to communicate with you! I remember once I was shopping for a girdle at a shop and the sales person sayang Chelsea and touch her on her cheeks while she was sleeping. Chelsea was probably mad at someone disturbing her sleep and she cries out loud...haha .. Both of us were amused by her behavoir and she helps me pacify her back to sleep! When you panick, the baby can feel it! Be a confident mummy!

6) Last but not least, dress with pride. We lose our figure (I mean some of us) and freedom with baby but that does not stop us from looking our best!!! There is definitely a piece in your wardrobe that suits you now! Be a hip mummy! :)

Mummy FINALLY got her first pay check after 2 years of dry spell. (No pay leave for those who know mummy.) The first thing on mummy's mind was to get something for Chelsea. She decided to get a Fisher Price Rocker after hearing good feedback about this to make babies sleep.

Goodbye Auntie Rosalind

Auntie Rosalind is gone, she lost her battle with lung cancer and passed away this morning. She is my bestie's mum. Tears can't help flowing out when I heard of her demise. She is such a nice lady, a motherly figure who genuinely cares for people. I remember the days when I visited her place, she is always very nice. She offers me a decent tutoring job back then when I was doing my relief teaching to coach her younger gal. Years passed, I have not met her very often since me and my bestie graduated from college but I still remember her as a very nice person

Dear Auntie Rosalind,

I am glad that your suffering is over and you are home with the Lord. You had been very strong as girlie has always told me about you. I regret not being able to see you before you left. I wish to share my bundle of joy with you,wish you could meet Chelsea but it's all too late.

Mummies, I need yr input on this.

There has been some discussion about bringing baby out at this time. I know some mummies bring their babies out as soon as they are full month old. I am wondering how you gals handle when you do not drive. Stroller, diaper bag and carrying baby??!! How?

I am also hesistating if I should bring Chelsea out in view of the recent H1N1 threat in Singapore. She is only 2 months old and had yet finished half of her jabs, she is still very frail. Should I be bringing her out?

What are the nice places you can bring your infant to? Where are the places you can find child friendly places with proper diaper changing stations in the toilet? Any recommendations?

My darling Chelsea Ong Jie En turns 2 months today! Wow.. time files! She has been in this world for 2 months. :) She is growing well and weigh 4.5kg now! (As compared to her birth weight of 2570g),that is a fantastic growth! All thanks to Similac! haha... She is more or less a FM kid. 不管是黑猫还是白猫，会捉老鼠的就是好猫。As long as I am happy with what I am doing, who cares man?? haha. It's the choice that I made for my child anyway. Passerby is so damn right. Seems like I got some readership here...hehe...

One moment she is so angelic...

"Superwomen" Chelsea sleeping on her tummy

Had read in forums and exchanged some pointers with mummies about startled babies. Chelsea gets startled easily when she hears a loud sound or my darling CanCan barking. Some mummies suggest letting the baby sleep on their tummy,it helps them sleep better too! So I tried it out on Chelsea this morning with supervision. :)

I pat her back for a while and she begins to feel sleepy...

Completely knock out....wahahhaha

The result??

She did sleep very well after her milk for 2.5 hours, I was closely supervising her while surfing net. She did turn her head trying to lift it up. She knows how to adjust her head so that she will not suffocate herself. However, when baby sleeps this way, I feel that it should be closely supervised. (In case lah.........hehe.. I am a very kan chiong mummy.)

Babies love this sleeping position, from here, I learnt that when babies cry for attention or comfort, you can try carry them and let their head rest on yr neck and gently pat their back. It does help me settle Chelsea down when she is cranky (crying but not for milk,no poo,etc). Mummies can try this! :)

Motherhood is indeed enriching! You are learning something new each day! Every day is a challenge and we gladly take it! :) Loving it!

Results out! and I am depressed AGAIN!

Seems like most classmates are blogging about it, if you are interested to know my results, I can just say I am not very happy about it (in fact a little depressed about it, I DID pass though.). You would probably say I was pregnant during 2 semester of my studies so it is ALRITE to fare like that. Well, that is just an excuse not to do well.

I sat for the final papers during my confinement. I screwed up my confinement because of this exams. I broke confinement rules by going out and sacrifice giving my girl the best milk in the world. In the end, I screwed up my exams too. Sighz! I think I am a lousy mummy after reading about latching on, pumping milk, TBF etc. I better stop reading all these before I go into further depression. Now it seems like supporting FM is a "sin",the acts of a selfish mummy.

Oh yes, there has been quite a few invites from friends to gatherings and most are asking me if I am going to bring Chelsea out with me. Well, said easier than done. Imagine myself carry a stroller, diaper bag, milk and bottles and Chelsea to Orchard Road! I would probably lose the stroller or lose Chelsea! I might probably be seen as a "sinner" again being caught feeding FM to a coming 2 months old baby. When mummies are nursing in public or in the nursing room, I am mixing milk powder with water. If you dun mind driving me, Chelsea and the stroller down and helping me attend to her when she is about to make a scene in public, by all means, invite me and do the necessary. When you are a mummy yourself, you would probably understand the "agony" of bringing the baby out on your own all by yourself.

That's all I have to say for now. I know I can be quite OUTSPOKEN at times. Sorry if I offend anyone here. Just some things I want to let it out. I screwed my life and Chelsea's!

She is such a precious darling.... How can you not love her??

She is daddy's precious girl now. Lately we realised that she perspires very easily, and daddy says, "Chelsea must sleep with air con on every night." See how much daddy loves Chelsea. hee..We dun usually on air con to save electricity, but the weather had been killing us lately.

There! You see..."My daddy is the best!"

But mummy always like to "ka jiao" me! SoBz..... (Chelsea poo-ing also must take pics...tsk tsk.)

And not forgetting the "big sister"- CanCan who secretly steals a look at the camera... hee...

Daddy got a new stroller for Chelsea from Kiddy Palace! A steal for $119, we offset $40 from our vouchers and got it for $79 only! :) Wow... Chelsea can go gai gai with us soon!

Everyone knows my mama is an Internet addict. She can never live without Internet or she will "itch" all over. We shall see how "sick" mama is, she is SOOOO MUCH into Internet. Lately my sista Chelsea had been cranky,waking up more often and mama is very busy with her. I feel a lil' sad.

At this rate it is going,will the 2 of us be left out or given up??!!

I think I better be a good girl from now on. Mama says I better be a quiet gal. Coz my power bark always wake Chelsea up.

Sighz.. Worried sia... That sista of mine is not an easy nut to crack, even Grandma says so.. Just look at the way she throw tantrums... Scary! She rocked the house!!!!!
(I think her power CRY is more power than my power BARK....)

I told you before. Mama is a little sadist. Instead of attending to what this little rascal wants, she snaps photos instead... tsk tsk... I think she must be very very very hungry. Poor girl.

Mummy came home with some great stuffs. One of which is this head support cushion from Kiddy Palace. This pretty stroller is from Grandma and I realise that it has some similarities to the stroller that daddy had when he was a baby! haha. Will dig out the picture and post here and you all can see how much darling Chelsea looks like daddy! hee. :P

As you can see in the background, there is a JRT there by the name of CanCan (aka Xiao Niu). She is trying very hard to catch mummy's attention.

Mummy is still engrossed and busy with snapping pictures of little Chelsea. CanCan patiently wait for mummy to realise that she is there.. haha.

Rattling of a depressed mummy

I have been entertaining Chelsea the whole day till now...ZzzzZzzz...

She is awake almost 90% of the day,keep waking up for attention other than poo and hungry. I suspect she could be having consiptation as she had not poo-ed today *worried*,am considering to change her FM from Similac to Mamil Gold, think the latter is too heaty for her?!!

I have not done much housework today. Knocked out with her this afternoon,simply TOO TIRED to do anything else! Damn shagged now, mentally tired, just dun feel like doing anything. No mood to eat too after seeing that 3 months pregnant tummy.

Most mummies suffer from Post natal depression during their confinement month. But my depression seems to come much later than the rest. Wahhahaha.. Reason being I had no time to be depressed during my confinement. (Exams! and assignments!) When I see my tummy and some people wondering how come I could have conceived so fast after birth, I get so damn DEPRESSED. I tried to exercise with the dogs (brisk walking-30 mins every night), eat lesser, but it did not seem to go down though I did lose 0.5kg from my overall weight.

Mummies have been telling me that I should breastfeed and it will help me lose weight faster. 说得倒是很容易！WHAT THE FUCK!!!! Who dun wish to breastfeed their babies when all knows that breast milk is best for babies? But did anyone tell them exams is bad for confinement and a demerit point to breast milk supply and flow? When you have the milk, obiviously think that it is very easy for you. Coz all you need to do it eat, sleep, latch and pump, while my confinement was eat, sleep, study and work. It was a choice of either I total breast feed (concentrate on breastfeeding) and FAIL my exams or take it easy. FAIL my exams bring serious consequences, it means delay graduation, lesser income. (and my current humble home income is not enough soon.) So please dun ask me why my baby is on formula and not breast milk.

Anyway to lose that stupid tummy??

Please dun tell me to breastfeed, the supply has dried up.

HELP!!! I think I am going bonkers.....

Perhaps I should head back to work for natural,free sliming session...wahahaha

I got a feeling that you are going to see the slimer me (I mean much slimer than before pregnant) in 6 months time??!!!!

I have been in my own comfort zone for 4 years, in fact should I say hiding from the reality for 4 years..

Like many of my course mates, I reported for work yesterday (25th May 09). Dun worry! You are not hearing things! I report to my new school for induction which is a complusary programme for all new teachers of the school. Ermm.. Lucky I DID attend or else I wun know that reality BITES..

What is Education?

Here it goes...

Serving and connecting with customers. (parents)

The school is a company running an education business and there are lots of other "companies" running such a business and all wants to be the best.

Training training and more training.

Joyful learning and teaching students how to fish without you.

Well, we are all in this. No turning back..

As fellow classmate Shuyu is counting down, 25th May 2014 could be a turning point of my life again when I become tai tai.. LOL (Hope so lor... :P)

For now, full time mummy (with a tummy STILL!), dog mummy and housewife till 16th August and then really return to reality. It bites yeah, but at least it could save me a few k spend on Marie France or Expressions... hahahaah.

Last but not least,something really meaningful from SCM and thought it will be nice to share with all of you.

The items inside each symbolise something:

1) Colour pencils to colour your day.

2)Peanuts to remind you to get a little nutty now and then.

3)Band-aide for when things get a little rough, to remind you to heal hurt feelings.

4)Puzzle Piece to remind you that without you, things wouldn't be complete.

5) Rubber band to remind you to be flexible- things might not always go the way you want but it can be worked out.

6)Birthday candle for those times when you feel you need to light up someone's day.

7) Tooth pick to remind yourself to pick the good qualities in yourself.

8) Coffee bag to remind you to take time to relax daily and go over that list of blessings.

9) Paper clip to help you hold it together when everything seems to fall apart.

It's not going to be a bed of roses but I guess we will all survive at the end of the day! :)

我家正好有两个精神寄托！哈哈！

行情不好，经济不景，为什么还有些人坚持养狗呢？

刚看了8频道的《前线追踪》的报道，受访的一个宠物店业主就说了这句话：

“行情不好，孩子不可以不吃饭，不冲凉吧！”

说得妙！真有意思！

如果有人问我，有了baby，为什么还要养狗？

我会说：“你会不会因为有了老三，而放弃老大和老二？”

（知道我在说什么吧？呵呵~！）

我家的好命狗！哈哈。它们也需要私人空间！

Chelsea, My love

How time files.... Chelsea has been part of my life for coming 2 months now which goes to say I have been a mummy for coming 2 months! I still missed my pregnant days though,so carefree and can go wherever I want with no worries. Now that I am "stucked" with Chelsea, going out isn't as easy as before. My mum is helping me out with adhoc care when I have to run errands or attend to something. Now I begin to appreciate the advantages of staying near parents (which I do not...haha). When you have kids, you truly need someone to help out with a newborn. Motherhood is still overwhelming to me and I am learning something new each day!

Grandpa says she is growing chubbier each day. Hee... Coz she is drinking lots of milk. Chelsea has been cranky of late,at times refused to fall back to sleep after milk and waking up more often now. Now at times the pacifier does not work on her anymore. Ermmm... She is truly an attention seeker!
